Rachel Greenfield is President and founder of RGA, LLC – a 12 year-old
media consulting firm specializing in developing and optimizing digital
and print publishing company profitability. Her firm has worked with
major media companies (WSJ, MSLO, Hearst, Hachette, Time Warner) on
strategy, brand extensions, acquisitions and consumer marketing, and with
major consumer websites such as nymag.com and Beliefnet to expand their
business based on competitive market and audience analysis. Rachel has
developed financial models for new businesses in the digital and print
space and analyzed opportunities for potential acquisitions of web and
print properties for key clients.
Rachel has over 30 years of publishing management experience at both
large and small publishing companies including senior management
positions at Time Inc, Ziff Davis and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
Prior to establishing RGA in mid 1998, Rachel was EVP, Publishing of MSLO
- responsible for the management, performance and profitability of Martha
Stewart Living Omnimedia's Publishing Group. She joined MSLO when it was
40 people and unprofitable and was part of the team that grew the company
to its height of success. She was directly responsible for MSLO’s
financial operations for most of her tenure there. Rachel Greenfield's
extensive management experience also includes the launch of Personal
Computing for Ziff while SVP of Ziff-Davis, General Manager of Money,
Circulation Director of Life, and Business Manager of Sports Illustrated.
She graduated from Vassar College. She received her MBA from Harvard
Business School.
Sally Hillyer is Managing Partner, RGA, LLC
Sally has been managing partner of RGA, LLC since 1998 and brings over
30 years of business experience to RGA. She founded her own firm,
Management for Professionals, which specializes in managing the growth of
small to mid-size businesses – advising on management, group process, and
employee and partner relations.
Sally has had extensive experience facilitating and leading numerous
training and management sessions for magazine companies, non - profits,
and other groups on goal and priority setting.
Sally's prior work experience includes: 30 years of management consulting
in the healthcare field; helping launch the National Foundation for
Women's Health where she served as Executive Director; business planning
at Eastman Kodak Co., and over 5 years of teaching planning for the
Association of Junior Leagues International.
She graduated from Vassar College, Phi Beta Kappa.
