Maureen R. Berman

Ms. Berman is President of Maureen Berman Associates, a New York-based strategic marketing research and consulting firm that helps clients make decisions about their communication, marketing and brand strategies. Prior to establishing her own consultancy firm in May 1997, she was a Vice President of Mercer Management Consulting, a Marsh & McLennan company. Ms. Berman areas of specialization include focus groups facilitation, new magazine development and extending magazine brands into new media. She is co-author of the book The Practical Negotiator (Yale University Press).

Patti Devine

Patti has more than 12 years’ experience in solving the marketing challenges of companies large and small. She specializes in customer retention, web site solutions, and marketing project management.  Patti has worked for Time Warner successfully managing the customer retention program for Time Magazine’s 4 million subscribers. She has also worked at trade publishers Elsevier Science and Simba Information, both business-to-business information providers. In addition to marketing the print products of these publishers, she developed and executed e-commerce and paid content strategies for their web sites. Ms. Devine’s passion for marketing has led her to become an adjunct professor of marketing at Fordham University where she teaches in the Graduate School of Business. Ms. Devine holds an MBA from Fordham University Graduate School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI.

Mary K. Seery
Marketing and Promotion Copywriter

Since 1984 Mary Kay has worked in magazine publishing for dozens of titles like Vogue, Reader's Digest, Martha Stewart Living, Men's Health, FHM, Parenting, Traditional Home, Conde Nast Traveler,Woman's Day, Rolling Stone,
Brides, and People En Espanol. Although the projects have included marketing strategy, research analysis, and sales promotion, they have all essentially boiled down to words.  She has written direct mail campaigns, sales presentations, special advertising sections, mission statements, invitations, collateral materials for special events and sales meetings, publisher's speeches, letters, taglines, headlines, brochures and more. Her strength is translating rambling, voluminous, disconnected, and sometimes contradictory ideas into cogent, convincing, concise and catchy text.
